A true Cologne girl of Southwest Indian descent, Prasanna has always felt rooted in several different cultures \u2013 and definitely shares the Rhine region\u2019s love of the carnival. She has been involved in dance and theatre since the age of five, either actively taking part on stage or watching spellbound from the stalls. Living in and with different cultures has always felt perfectly natural for her. Writing, hosting, consulting, teaching, conceptualizing and PR are all things she has been perfecting continuously for at least the past 20 years, and in some cases for 30 years. Training and freelance work as radio and TV journalist, followed by a switch to the \u201cother side\u201d \u2013 working as a press spokesperson, though still in television. Set up her own copywriting and PR agency in 2004, worked as an employee on various projects, and expanded her business in 2018, turning it into a hosting and communications firm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>What else happened:<br><\/em>Published a magazine, served on the board and as an active member of the Neue Deutsche Medienmacher*innen (New German Media Professionals), and spent several years working as a dance teacher in Cologne and Bonn. Ihr Studium in Management, Economics and Social Sciences hat sie bewusst mit sozialwissenschaftlichem Schwerpunkt gew\u00e4hlt. Ein Auslandssemester in Argentinien und Reisen durch S\u00fcdamerika haben ihr Bewusstsein f\u00fcr unterschiedliche Lebensrealit\u00e4ten gesch\u00e4rft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Der Leistungssport hat sie gepr\u00e4gt, nicht nur k\u00f6rperlich, sondern auch in ihrer Art, Herausforderungen anzugehen. Was sie auf dem Lacrosse-Feld gelernt hat, tr\u00e4gt sie in andere Lebensbereiche. Parallel zu ihrem eigenen Training gibt sie dieses Wissen als ehrenamtliche Trainerin an Anf\u00e4nger*innen weiter, weil sie daran glaubt, dass Sport ein Raum f\u00fcr Selbsterm\u00e4chtigung und Gemeinschaft ist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Neben dem Sport engagierte sie sich im Umsonstladen des B\u00fcrgerzentrums, weil sie fest an ihre vision glaubt: \u201eMy idea is to use the opportunities that I have to create opportunities for others. Weil sie dieses manchmal verwirrende, \u00f6fter sch\u00f6ne und gleichbleibend herausfordernde Dazwischen besser verstehen m\u00f6chte, hat sie ein Masterstudium der Kulturanthropologie abgeschlossen und sich zur Kulturvermittlerin weiterbilden lassen. In Nicaragua hat sie zu postkolonialen Strukturen in Freiwilligendiensten geforscht, in Lissabon hat sie Stra\u00dfenmusik als widerst\u00e4ndige Praxis untersucht. Freiberuflich gibt sie Workshops zum Thema Diversit\u00e4tsorientierung. Durch ihre Studien der Sozialwissenschaften und Transkulturellen Studien hat sie ein Gesp\u00fcr f\u00fcr gesellschaftliche Dynamiken entwickelt, das sie in ihre Projekte einflie\u00dfen l\u00e4sst. Dabei liebt sie es nicht nur theoretisch zu konzipieren, sondern Dinge auf die Beine zu stellen und durchzuf\u00fchren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ihr Herz schl\u00e4gt f\u00fcr alles Sch\u00f6ne \u2013 vor allem f\u00fcr Musik und Mode. Rosannas Arbeit oszilliert zwischen Diversit\u00e4t, Inklusion und Kunst und ihren pers\u00f6nlichen Verbindungslinien zu und zwischen diesen Themen. Dabei sind ihr beruflich wie privat Perspektivenvielfalt und die Anerkennung unterschiedlicher Reali\u00e4ten wichtig. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8222;Meine Arbeit ist stets ein Versuch, dass wir uns&nbsp;durch Anerkennung und Wertsch\u00e4tzung&nbsp;in unseren Lebens- und Arbeitspraxen ein Gef\u00fchl der Zugeh\u00f6rigkeit, des Verst\u00e4ndnisses und auch der Geborgenheit vermitteln.
