Discourse series of the Stiftung Humboldt Forum "99 Questions"

On April 15, 2021, Prasanna Oommen moderated the kick-off of the discourse series "99 Questions" at the Humboldt Forum. This series simultaneously opened the Humboldt Forum's program of events.

Over the course of a year, the event series explores questions about where museums with collections from colonial contexts stand. How they need to change. What future role museums can take on for society. The first event in the 99 Questions series asked questions about the status quo of ethnological museums, colonial collections, and following the announcement of the return of the Benin Bronzes.

On the panel, Prasanna Oommen spoke with Wiebke Ahrndt (Director of the Übersee-Museum Bremen), El Hadji Malick Ndiaye (art historian), Emmanuel Kasarhérou (President of the Musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac in Paris) and Lars-Christian Koch (Director of the Ethnological Museum/Museum of Asian Art in Berlin as well as for the collections of the National Museums in Berlin in the Humboldt Forum).
