How are job profiles in the cultural and creative industries changing as a result of current megatrends? How well is the industry already positioned for these changes and where do thought patterns, education and training and structures need to be overhauled? At the scientific conference of the Kompetenzzentrum Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft des Bundes (Federal Centre of Excellence for Cultural and Creative Industries) on 19 March, scientists and practitioners looked beyond the framework of the familiar gallery of job profiles and discussed how job profiles are changing due to a shift towards a more sustainable and circular economy and the growing importance of artificial intelligence in our society.
Prasanna Oommen organised the conference entitled "Shaping the future now! Changing job profiles in the cultural and creative industries". The audience received input from various interdisciplinary keynote speeches and two panel discussions led by Prasanna Oommen and were then able to discuss what they had heard in workshops.
