In the context of the exhibition, the panel discussion "Migration in the field of tension of German museums" took place on September 15, 2023. How museums can display processes and stories of migration, what they do not yet show on a large scale, and what this has to do with participation in society as a whole - this was the topic of the discussion, which was moderated by Prasanna Oommen.
With the curators Dr. Angela Jannelli from the Historical Museum of Frankfurt and Dr. Bora Akşen from the Focke-Museum, as well as with filmmaker Filmemacher Cem Kaya and historian Sandra Vacca from DOMiD she talked about dos & don'ts in participatory museum work and about the planned "House of Immigration Society".
