The project "Kulturstrolche" brings together important actors and partners to form a strong and sustainable network of primary schools, cultural institutions and local artists.
On September 14, 2022, Prasanna Oommen moderated the "Fachtag Kulturstrolche" organised by the Kultursekretariat NRW Gütersloh in cooperation with the NRW KULTURsekretariat Wuppertal at the WERK°STADT Witten. The overarching goal of the event was to shape the diversity-sensitive orientation of the project.
After an introductory impulse by Ella Steinmann, Diversity Manager at Schauspiel Dortmund, Catrin Boß and Kim Kerger (Ministry for Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia) took a look at the state level. Christina Dath from the NRW KULTURsekretariat Wuppertal explained how the project leaders can proceed in developing and securing quality programmes.
In a following panel discussion, Prasanna Oommen discussed the challenges and potentials of diversity-sensitive programmes in municipal practice with Ella Steinmann and Romi Domkowsky, Kulturstrolche project managers from Oberhausen.
Afterwards, the participants discussed concrete activities in workshops, such as the cooperation with special schools or the expansion of the pool of cooperation partners.
