Paneltalk "For Real? - Identity and Internet" in the context of the festival INDERNET

Once a year, the Masala Movement association organizes the INDERNET festival for Indian-inspired culture. In this context, Prasanna Oommen moderated the closing panel talk "For Real? - Identity and the Internet".

In the digital panel she talked with writer Mithu Sanyal, editor Manik Chander and Sinthujan Varatharajah, political geographer/essayist about identity in changing times and the connection with the internet.

The focus was not only on diverse possibilities of expression, alignment and empowerment on the internet/social media, but also explicitly on autobiographical references of three well-known postmigrant cultural actors.
