Based on the results of “Travelling Artists”, a conference chaired by Prasanna Oommen on 30 October 2019, this publication from the Frauenkulturbüro NRW (NRW Women’s Cultural Office) and the Landesbüro für Bildende Kunst NRW (NRW State Office for Visual Arts) offers action recommendations for regional cultural policy. It provides a guideline for the optimal design of a residence from the artists’ perspective, an update on the situation during the pandemic and an overview of artist-in-residence programmes in North Rhine-Westphalia.
